Creating buying power and the “affordable credit”:
Credit can be made available to Bottom of pyramid ,but it shouldnt stop at that .As you said credit should be used to create buying power . They should be helped with formal training to make the living , on the lines of NREGA schemes and Microfinance organizations . Success of SKS MF across thousands of villages is case in the point .

Creating aspirations:
we need more ventures like e-chapaul & villagenakuri.com which would come forward to train village population with sellable skills and transform them into employable skilled manpower . Aspirations need to be backed by means to achieve the aspirations .

To conclude , capital aspirations and bottom of pyramid can coexist and be mutually benefit each other . case in point is how increasing rural telecom density is revolutionalizing the landscape by bringing the world closer , making the flow of information and money far easier . Godrej comes up with cost effective and customized appliances for rural populace ,employs rural people as part of their distribution chain . cost effective targetted products make life easier at bottom of pyramid and capital aspirations are met as well .

The right course of action would have been to reach out to the right segments who would go for 3G services through advertisements . Classical case of the saying that you can take the horse to the water , but you cant make it drink water . MTNL could have gained significant subscriber base by the time rest of players made their foray .

I think we all have significant exposure to cloud computing .I am curious to see how Grid computing pans out and whether it is scalable to be game changer . Guess we will have to wait few years .

All this hysteria is basically over a very small number of assaults and robberies in Australia, with no evidence whatsoever, to suggest that Indians are being in any way targeted.

I'm not exactly what is the issue you are trying to address over here. The incidents that happened in Australia have no predecessor: this country was slowly becoming a haven for immigrants from India. UK incidents did have an effect on the psyche of Indians, but the issue was not mobilized at such a large scale. Are you trying to suggest that India is somehow afraid to raise it's voice against UK and other big players?
The recent Sikh killings in Austria were not enough to raise Government action in that country, but enough to cause curfews and riots in India. This is the point to ponder over.

Cloud Computing concept utilizes SaaS, PaaS and other types of services which are definitely paid. If paid, users are left with no choice other than what their service providers offer. As a result, it results in limiting both freedom and creativity. You may call cloud computing concept to be a regression to 50's and 60's in which users connected to mainframes through 'dumb' computers. All user data will be on the mercy of servers/systems located God knows where. In my opinion, it is simply a trap to lock users into buying more and more proprietary systems which will only get more expensive over the time.
In this regard, Google's chrome OS, which will eventually become Open Source, might, and I quote might pave a different way. Utilizing only Open Source applications developed over the world, it will leave no questions asked about proprietary systems. It is evident that in the long run, if successful, Google Chrome will take-over the cloud computing market, just like it did with Search Engine.
Wait and watch.
